We went to Nick & Stef's for Dine LA and my birthday. The price during Dine LA at Nick & Stef's is a great deal. You get a three course meal for $95 per person. The choice of steak is limited, but still worth it. When it's not Dine LA, you can pay $95 for a steak alone and leave with a bill of $400 plus for two people. It's worth the price. First course, we had crab cakes, second course we both ordered the porterhouse steak, third course I let our amazing server choose my dessert. He chose the key lime pie, which was perfect for me because I am not a fan of sweets. Nick & Stef's is a great place to dine with friends whether it's a special occasion, happy hour, or you just want a really good meal. The steaks are delicious and so are the sides. The service and ambience are amazing. I love this place and how attentive the staff is. They check on you often and if there is something you are not pleased with they will make it right. I am always a little confused by the bad reviews of Nick & Stef's. I'm not doubting their experience, but I go often enough to know that if you have a concern or problem the staff will do everything humanly possible to make it right. My tip is, if something is not to your liking, let the staff know. I promise you they will make it right and management will come by to ensure that you are satisfied with your dining experience. Nick & Stef's is not charging these prices to give you shitty food and service. I understand the frustration of going out for a good meal and excellent service, but what you get falls short of that. If you are not satisfied with your dining experience at Nick & Stef's let them know, they will do every thing they can to fix it. I know this because I have returned my steak on a couple of occasions because it was not as rare as I would like. Be kind, be patient, and be mindful of the people that are doing their best to make your dining experience pleasant. Please forgive any typos, this review was typed on a mobile device.

Visited this LA institution last night for a late dinner with the wife. I have been here many times over the last 10 years and it is as good as ever. Wife and I started with cocktails. She had a gin and tonic and she was mildly surprised that carried Monkey 47 gin, which makes a good gin. I had a draft Stella and came cold from the tap, as it should be. We sat at the bar because we love the bar vibe and experience. The bar tender couldn't have provided better service either. The wife and I shared the Ribeye steak, Au Gratin potatoes and a Caesar salad. The ribeye was simply perfect. The chef cut it in half for the wife and I to share. When we crave steak we always come to NS because of their consistency. The steak was cooked to perfection and the grade of beef was a top grade, couldn't have been better. The potatoes were creamy, tasty and yummy. The Caesar salad was fresh too. Overall a great late night dinner experience.

Great downtown spot with great drinks and steaks. Nice inspection too. Classic steak house offerings done right. Great for large gatherings too. Service is always top notch.
